The sun porch, also Bean’s smoking room, was added in the 1930’s to the southwest corner of home..png
The porch added to the northeast side of the home in the 1970’s..png
The original beam here may have been removed or damaged in a fire. The brick beam was removed and a new foundation and slab were installed in this area..png
Demolition of the addition built by Leon L. Bean was removed for historical accuracy. The demolition of this addition was documented per request of the Freeport Historical Society..png
At least 4 strucural fires occured in the home, two of which appeared to be electrical..png
Restored cedar shingles emphasize another historic detail on the home..png
