Alteration request form
Easement agreements require property owners to notify Maine Preservation prior to making any alterations to the protected elements of a property. An Alteration Request Form must be approved by Maine Preservation staff prior to commencement of work. Please note that receiving approval and obtaining permit(s) from your municipality or state is not the same as Maine Preservation approval.
maintenance vs. alteration
This document aims to help easement property owners determine the appropriate level of involvement by Maine Preservation when planning a project for their property.
